God's Storehouse Pantry & Resale Shop
“Nourishing Bodies, Enriching Lives”
God’s Storehouse originated over 40 years ago, founded by three friends, Virginia Wynne, Gladyne Finch and Dorothy Richardson, serving a crockpot of food in Nixon. These ladies relied on the Nixon community to provide rent-free space from which to operate.
Today, God’s Storehouse Food Pantry is blessed to operate from a stand alone building, built by Methodist volunteers, and sits on the NMC campus. The Resale Shop is located across Franklin Street in one of the NMC classrooms and is open to the public.
God’s Storehouse Ministry shares God’s love and blessings by providing food to families experiencing food insecurity, a life crisis situation, or other hardship. The all-volunteer staff ensures God’s Storehouse clients are treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. God’s Storehouse offers HOPE, HELP, and RESOURCES. God’s Storehouse Ministry welcomes you!
God’s Storehouse follows all USDA and TEFAP qualification guidelines. Volunteers can help you through this process.
Open every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

YOUTH
Our youth gather for a time of praise and worship, a devotion and small group time to discuss the lesson, and a time for food, fun and fellowship. Youth from the entire community join in this time of learning God’s love for them and how to live as young Christians in the teen years of life.

Women
Join in this time where we study the word of God and share our lives as christian women in a world that challenges us. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the church parsonage at 410 Franklin Ave., Nixon, TX. We have times of fellowship and trips to special places to engage in the love of the Lord together.

Prayer
Our prayer ministry receives prayer requests from all over the world. A special note is written and mailed to the people in need of prayer. Our prayer team prays over the prayer requests together on Sunday morning and in our personal prayer time continually. We are planning prayer workshops and a Praise and Prayer service that will be once a month. Stay tuned for more information.
